Campbell Transportation Opts for More Efficient Mitsubishi Marine Diesel Engines

New Orleans, LA - Campbell Transportation, one of the largest marine transportation companies in the United States, has completed a major repower, moving away from the 850 horsepower Cummins KTA38 and toward the 850 horsepower Mitsubishi S12A2 Marine Diesel Engine, provided by Laborde Products.

“We have had great success with the Mitsubishi engines and are excited to add a few more to our growing fleet”, said, Michael Pilgrim, Campbell Transportation's Director of Marine Maintenance. The Mitsubishi Marine S12A2, high-performance engine is designed to be both reliable and efficient. The S12A2 delivers improved fuel economy and more uptime as compared to its predecessor, the Cummins KTA38.
